Number of Players: The game is typically played with 4 players.

Distribution of Tiles

•Each player is given 14 tiles, and the player who will start the game receives 15 tiles.
•The remaining tiles are placed in a stack in the center. This stack is called the “deste.”
•One tile from the stack is turned face up, and the next number in sequence becomes the “OKEY.” For example, if the tile is a Red 3, the Red 4 becomes the “okey.” (During the game, this piece appears back turned between the user’s pieces.) The designated okey tile in the game serves as a wildcard to complete all your missing rankings and is also a necessary tile for “breaking the pot” underthe following conditions.

In addition, the so-called fake okey, a piece with a 4-leaf clover on it, can only be used to fill thespace created by the designated okey piece (e.g. if the designated okey piece is a red 9, the fake okey piece can only be used as a red 10.

Objective of the Game:

Players aim to arrange their tiles into sets (series) and pairs to finish the game.

Set (series): Three or more consecutive tiles of the same color (e.g., red 12, red 13, red 1). 13 is the last tile and can be followed by a number 1, but this sequence is final and cannot be continued any further. Or different colors with the same number (e.g., red 7, blue 7, black 7)

Pair: Two identical tiles of the same number and color (e.g., red 3 x2 and red 11 x2)

Turn Sequence

•The player with the extra tile starts by discarding one tile.
•Subsequently, each player in turn either draws a tile from the stack or takes the tile discarded by the previous player.
•After drawing a tile, the player discards one tile to end their turn.

Bets and Rooms: Players choose a room to enter. There are 6 types of rooms, each with Entrance prices.

Important Note I. : Players must have 3 or 4 times their total payout amount, in addition to the room entry and pot amounts, in case of a possible penalty system, otherwise they will not be able to participate in the rooms.

•Novice Entrance : 50 Chest: 50

•Experienced Entrance: 100 Chest: 100

•Masters Entrance: 150 Chest: 150

•Professionals Entrance: 200 Chest: 200

•Ambitious Entrance: 250 Chest: 250

•Legends Entrance: 300 Chest: 300

Before each round, players place bets in the pot and on the table…
Pot Bet: Each player places a certain amount into the pot. At the end of the game, this amount is given to the winning player.
Table Bet: Before each round, each player places a bet on the table. This bet goes to the winner of that round.
Pot System: At the start of the game a bet is placed on the pot. At the end of the game when the necessary game conditions are met, the pot is broken and the entire amount held in the pot goes to the winning player

Differences in Okeytoo’s Çanak Okey

The Okeytoo version has multiplier penalty and earning systems unlike the normal version of Çanak okey.
The bet placed on the table at the end of each round is given to the player who wins that round. (If a player completes his hand according to one of the following game rules, he breaks the pot and wins the pot stakes as well as the table stakes.)

Penalties and possible game endings

Important Note I.I : Players must have 3 or 4 times their total payout amount, in addition to the room entry and pot amounts, in case of a possible penalty system, otherwise they will not be able to participate in the rooms.
When these possible conditions are met, the pot is broken, the user who broke the pot gets all the prizes and the other users pay a penalty.

• Ending with an Okey: If a player finishes the game using one okey tile, the other players must pay a penalty equal to 3 times of their bet.

  • Ending with Two Okeys: If a player finishes the game using two okey tiles, the other players must pay a penalty equal to 4 times of their bet.
  • Ending with Pairs: Ifa player finishes the game with pairs and without using an okey, the other players must pay a penalty equal to 3 times of their bet.

Ending the Game:

  • The player who arranges all their tiles into sets and pairs and discards their last tile ends the game.
  • When the game ends, the remaining tiles in the hands of the other players are counted, and penalties are calculated accordingly.

Pot System:

  • At the end of each round, the bets accumulated in the pot continue to increase until the pot is broken.
  • The pot is broken when a player ends the game by discarding an okey tile, and the accumulated amount in the pot is given to the winning player. The losing players pay penalties according to the rules above.
  • Once the pot is broken the entire amount is paid to the winning player and the bets resets and starts new round.

This version of Çanak Okey, with betting, penalty rules, and the pot system, adds more strategy and excitement to the game with rooms having different betting rates. Players must be careful not only to win the game but also to avoid penalties and break the pot.
